The Iconic Vom Hofe 6/0 Restigouche

A look at two of the versions on one of the most attractive Salmon fly reels by Edward Vom Hofe. A combination of nickel silver and ebonite characterised by a counter balanced serpentine "S" handle.

Both examples have tension adjusters and optional on / off check button and the examples photographed are the 2nd and 3rd editions.

Dating from the late Victorian era, with 1883 Patent No, these examples are presented in great original condition.
