Finished in black japanned, with cream painted interior and holding a range of nickel silver spring leafs.

This 4" Malloch Sun & Planet fly reel offers some perspective on the size of this box which measures 12" in length.

And is designed to hold hundreds of flies.

From large 10/0 fully dressed Salmon flies, through to small Trout patterns.

A seldom seen item that occasionally appear through the auction root. Bears the maker's lozenge with name and patent details to front.
