The Heaton reel is a classis "Perth" style, with ebonite front and rear side plates, bound in nickel silver, however, this example has a heavily engraved faceplate. This embellishment is seldom seen.
The David Slater reel, retailed by Bernard & Sons, includes a rim mounted braking system which is patented.
The Youngs reel shows how to collaborate a range of different materials with ebonite, nickel silver, brass all coming together to deliver a lightweight Salmon fly reel.
