Historic Royalty Salmon

Ahead of the new Salmon season, which starts on the mighty Hampshire Avon next Tuesday, 1st February, a chance to look back at some of the large Salmon that the river has yielded to its anglers through the years.

Above is a photo of Royalty regular, Jack Tizzard, with a 46lb 8oz Avon Springer. This fish was caught using a 9' rod and centrepin.
