Fortuna Junior Reel

Hardy Bros produced a number of "Fortuna" reels in smaller sizes which were used for Salmon, Sea Trout and Trout sizes. Photographed is a 5" Fortuna Junior reel with the 496, 163 Patent, December 1937.

Made of dural, this reel, with the corresponding Pat No applied on the winding handle, is one of 14 made prior to the cessation of the pattern in 1939.

The above compression springs form part of the friction clutch to which the Pat applies.
