Allcock Aerials

Following on the J.W.Young's patent for the Simplex reel in 1895 came Allcock & Co's registration for the Coxon Aerial, which gave birth to this iconic centrepin which is both cherished and collected.

Here are a selection of variations of these famous reel including examples retailed by Farlow & G Little along with a couple of variations in the way Allcock engraved their details.

And with a focus on the model made for and retailed by C Farlow & Co

With stepped xyonalite handles.

And with a pinned nickel silver rim.

Another shot of the nickel silver rim.

And a further variation, being the knurled optional on/off check button.
